October Fun

We LOVE October!! We love beautiful leaves, having our first fire in the fireplace, pumpkin patches, dressing up, candy, parties, and we are even start looking forward to a little rain.

Reed turned 12 on the 13th. He requested two key lime pies instead of a traditional cake. He was ordained a deacon on October 19th and will pass the sacrament for the first time this Sunday.

Kraig had his last few XC meets. He had a great year and has plans to come back for his Senior year stronger and faster than ever.

Ben visited the pumpkin patch with his pre-school class.

We had a really fun Ward Halloween party where Kris (yet again) didn't win the chili cook-off. Steve finally agreed to wear a Halloween costume, maybe we finally found one that was cool enough for him (all of those years of suggesting he go as a "stick in the mud" didn't work for some reason.) I have to say, he was a pretty hot Indiana Jones.

Mom joined her book club friends for a night of "super" costumes, good food, and singing out loud along with the great ABBA music at a last run showing of Mama Mia.

Abby has decided to be a girl vampire, Reed will join his friends in being Blue Man Group, and Ben will trick-or-treat as either Darth Vader, the Hulk, or a Pirate (the advantage of being the fourth child...many, many choices of costume.)
