Hat by Me (Give Away...of time and lack of talent)

Every year I try to "make" one Christmas gift for each member of my family. This year, I "knitted" hats for each kid and Steve (I also made one for my dad for his birthday.)

Steve and Kraig in their hats, you can see how thrilled they are to be photographed... they just came in from a 7 mile run

Anyway, I have some left over yarn from Christmas and I thought it might be fun to make a hat for two of my friends. Just leave a comment to be included in the "drawing" and approximately a week from now, I'll let you know for whom I will be knitting. You can choose between the West A. colors of Navy and Gold or the Boise State Colors of Blue and Orange. If you're a local friend, and you're dying for a Beaver hat; just pick up a skein of black wool yarn to go with my orange and I'll knit you a Beaver hat.

I am not a knitter, I usually crochet, but I found this cool loom thing to help me knit. It is the knifty knitter made by Provo Craft and I originally bought it for Abby, but then "borrowed" it and used it myself. It is so easy to use and the end result is a nice loose weave stocking cap. I'm happy with the way they turned out and the kids (that includes Steve) seem to be enjoying them.

GOOD LUCK!

I would like to be entered and hope no one else does - I never win at these kind of things - I need the odds on my side :)

Enter me into your drawing too please. (I probably won't win either April - but it is worth a try). How fun!

I wouldn't mind a beavs hat!

I think you should teach a class. P&B have a few looms, and do a good job on the hats, but need a little help with cinching it up. They'll be signed up if the class becomes available.

Send the boys down anytime, there is a little trick to it. Abby is making a scarf right now, she's pretty proud of it.

Hey! Sign me up for the drawing. What a great idea. West Albany would be great in the event of a WIN :)
